2. Network Management Practices
2.1 General Network Management
GoLite Mobile employs reasonable network management practices to ensure the best possible service for all users. These practices are necessary to:
- Reduce network congestion
- Optimize overall performance
- Maintain fair access for all customers
We do not block, throttle, or unfairly discriminate against lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices, except as outlined in this Policy.
2.2 Data Prioritization & Throttling
- Customers on unlimited data plans may experience reduced speeds during periods of heavy network congestion after exceeding a specified data threshold.
- Customers on capped data plans will experience reduced speeds once their monthly data allowance is exhausted unless additional data is purchased.
- Video streaming may be optimized to standard definition (SD) unless a higher-quality stream is included in your plan.
2.3 Performance Metrics
Expected network performance under normal conditions:
- Download Speeds: 5–100 Mbps (varies by location and congestion)
- Upload Speeds: 1–50 Mbps (varies by location and congestion)
- Latency: Typically 20–100ms

- Location and signal strength
- Device capabilities
- Network congestion
- Weather conditions

3. Mobile Hotspot Usage Terms
3.1 Mobile Hotspot Overview
GoLite Mobile allows customers to use their mobile device as a hotspot to share their data connection with other devices. Hotspot functionality is subject to the following conditions:
- Hotspot usage counts toward your data plan’s allowance.
- Some plans may include a separate hotspot data allocation, after which speeds may be reduced.
- Unlimited data plans are subject to a Fair Usage Policy to prevent excessive network strain.
3.2 Permitted & Prohibited Uses
Permitted Uses:
✔ Personal use on multiple devices (e.g., laptops, tablets, smart TVs)
✔ Video streaming, browsing, and standard work-from-home activities
✔ Remote learning, video calls, and general web usage
Prohibited Uses:
❌ Excessive bandwidth consumption that negatively impacts other users
❌ Running servers, hosting websites, or operating a commercial network
❌ Any activity that violates GoLite Mobile’s Acceptable Use Policy, including illegal file sharing or unauthorized access attempts
3.3 Hotspot Speed & Performance
- Standard hotspot speeds may vary based on network conditions, congestion, and device compatibility.
- Customers on unlimited plans may experience reduced hotspot speeds after exceeding a set threshold.
- Certain plans may restrict hotspot usage entirely; check your plan details for specific terms.
3.4 Fair Usage & Enforcement
To ensure fair access, GoLite Mobile may take corrective action if excessive hotspot usage is detected, including:
- Temporarily reducing speeds for the remainder of the billing cycle
- Restricting hotspot access
- Terminating service for extreme violations of fair usage policies

GoLite Mobile reserves the right to update this Policy. Changes take effect upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
