E911 Disclosure
Effective Date: February 10th, 2025
GoLite Mobile provides Enhanced 911 (E911) services to our customers in compliance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations. E911 allows emergency personnel to automatically receive the caller’s phone number and location information in the event of an emergency 911 call.
1. Availability of E911
2. Limitations of E911
Location Accuracy: E911 service may not work in all areas or under all conditions. The location information transmitted to emergency services may be less accurate than traditional landline-based services, especially when using mobile phones or non-fixed devices.
Fixed Location: If you are using a mobile or VoIP service, your location may not be automatically updated. It is your responsibility to provide accurate address information for emergency services, particularly if you are using a VoIP phone.
Power and Network Limitations: E911 services may not work if your device is powered off, if there is a loss of network connectivity, or during internet outages.
3. User Responsibilities
4. How to Update Your Information
5. Emergency Situations
In case of an emergency, please be aware that E911 may not function exactly the same as traditional telephone service. For this reason, always provide your exact location when calling 911, and be ready to provide any necessary details to emergency personnel.
Including this disclosure will help ensure that GoLite Mobile complies with FCC regulations and provides transparency to its customers, making them aware of their responsibilities when it comes to emergency communication services.
